Bio: Founder and President of TPC, is a retired Engineer who moved to Murrells Inlet in 2003. He is a former Regional Coordinator for the Myrtle Beach Region of the Carolinas' Nature Photographers Association. His interests are photography and post processing. He works with fellow photographers to help them develop their skills in photography and to be comfortable with their images through the post processing workflow. His camera is a Fuji.

Bio: John joined the Tidelands Photography Club in 2021. He currently serves as Club Secretary. He retired from his electric motor business in Sumter, SC and moved to Georgetown full time in 2015. John began learning about photography at an early age. His grandfather was a serious amateur photographer. As a child, John spent much time with his grandfather “helping” him in the darkroom and tagging along when he was taking pictures. John loves photographing wildlife and landscapes. He has always shot with Nikon cameras and currently uses a Nikon Z8 mirrorless camera.

Bio: Treasurer and Membership Chair, Linda developed an interest in photography after she retired from teaching high school English. She is a “Nikon person” who particularly enjoys photojournalism and street photography. She likes to meet with members to build critiquing skills so that all can move toward reaching their goals as photographers.

Deb O'Shaughnessy

Bio: After growing up in Southern California and retiring from dentistry in 2021, Deb moved to Pawleys Island. Having had a camera in her hand from the age of four, she decided to enroll in college in 2004 to get some more formal training in photography. During her time at College of the Canyons in Valencia, California, she was offered a position in the photography lab where she was able to print all of her own film in both black and white and color. While attending College of the Canyons, her work was a part of a traveling exhibition sponsored by the Getty Museum entitled "Where We Live".

Previously, Deb has worked primarily in portraiture, but South Carolina has offered her beautiful landscapes and seascapes to explore....

Deb has been a member of the Tidelands Photography Club since 2023.

She is a Canon girl.

Richard Harkawik

Bio: Rich moved to Socastee back in 2009 enjoying the diversity of landscapes and wildlife in the Carolinas. Formally he was an information technology generalist and has since retired. His digital journey started back in 2004 with the Canon 10d moving through subsequent models and switching to Fujifilm in 2014. Rich has recently changed his style of photography using a converted Fujifilm camera to shoot mostly in infrared  to create faux colors and enhance his black and white photography. He has been a Tidelands Photography member since 2023.

Bio: Having come from a family owned photofinishing business, David has been in photography most of his life. He started his photographic career as a wedding, portrait, and school photographer. His career expanded when he was hired as the Photography Manager for the West Virginia Division of Tourism. There he had the privilege of photographing beautiful landscapes, wildlife, natural wonders, state parks, and historical areas of West Virginia. David’s photographic career,
in West Virginia, also included being part of the photographic team for the Governor’s Office.
As a freelance photographer, his clientele included hospitals, local businesses, national and local magazine publishers, industrial and commercial photography.
David’s work has been shown in many publications, such as; Time-Life Books, Newsweek, National Geographic Adventure, Louisville Magazine, Huntington Quarterly Magazine, Marshall Magazine, Wonderful West Virginia Magazine, and others throughout the United States and abroad.
David has taught photography classes and workshops throughout West Virginia state parks and at the Huntington Museum of Art. He has conducted presentations at local high schools, photography clubs, city and state conventions, and business luncheons. After his retirement from his West Virginia career in 2009, David now resides in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. David has presented at the Seacoast Artist Gallery, Hobcaw Barony, Myrtle Beach Camera Club, Tidelands and CNPA Camera Clubs here in South Carolina.

Bio: the administrator of the TPC Website, retired from education as the Library Media Specialist in an Arkansas high school after having taught elementary school, art and reading. Until Sandra picked up a camera for the first time, she says, “I did not actually see all the beauty that surrounds us.” She applies her media experience and her creativity in photography to TPC as well as many other arts and crafts. Her camera is a Canon.
